Data & methodology
Real balances. Traceable sources. Clear boundaries.
Live Ethereum data
AnvilRadar reads finalized Ethereum state and reconciles it with Anvil’s public event history. Dashboard metrics and explorer records use real data. AnvilRadar is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Anvil.
The current scope is Anvil’s Ethereum collateral vault, LOC proxy, and ANVL token. Governance voting and verified application attribution are not indexed yet.
Freshness and verification
The dashboard requests a refresh every five minutes while open. Contract state is read at one finalized block, which trails the Ethereum head. The banner links to that block and shows its timestamp. USD prices come from DeFiLlama and must have a recent source timestamp.
PublicNode and dRPC provide contract reads; Blockscout provides event history. Creation and reservation coverage are checked against contract counters. LOC lifecycle totals are reconciled to current state. The deployed LOC implementation and vault bytecode must match the verified versions.
If a source is unavailable or verification fails, the site retains a real, previously verified snapshot and labels it accordingly. It never substitutes demonstration figures. DeFiLlama’s historical observations update independently from current contract balances.
Metric definitions
- Total value locked
- The USD value of cumulative user collateral recorded by the Ethereum collateral vault. Available and reserved balances are counted once. Protocol fees and unsolicited token transfers are excluded; outstanding LOC credit is not added to TVL.
- Secured credit outstanding
- Remaining credited amounts on active, unexpired LOCs, valued at current token prices. This covers the LOC contract, not the total credit or payment activity of applications using Anvil pools.
- Active LOCs / DLOCs
- LOCs with remaining credit, an existing creator, and an expiration later than the finalized block timestamp. Type is determined at issuance: a DLOC starts with different collateral and credited assets. The explorer shows all indexed issuances, including closed records.
- Collateral utilization
- Reserved collateral divided by user collateral TVL, using the same finalized block and prices. Reservations include pools and LOCs. This measures collateral commitment, not beneficiary spending or LOC credit utilization.
- Available vs. reserved
- Reserved collateral is the sum of existing vault reservations, including their fee allowance. Available collateral is the remaining unreserved user balance. Each asset is valued using the same price in both totals.
- New LOCs
- Creation events within rolling 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day windows ending at the finalized block timestamp. Canceled or redeemed LOCs still count as issuances in their creation window.
- Unique issuers / beneficiaries
- Distinct creator and beneficiary addresses across the complete LOC creation history. One address can represent multiple people, and multiple addresses can belong to one entity. These are address counts, not user counts.
- Collateral mix
- Registered vault assets with a nonzero user balance, weighted by USD value. Token decimals are read onchain. Asset presence does not imply that new deposits of that asset are currently enabled.
- Top beneficiaries / applications
- Distinct beneficiary addresses ranked by active LOC credit. Identities remain unattributed until verified. No application names or integrations are inferred from wallet activity.
- Liquidations
- Confirmed risk conversions within 30 days, excluding healthy redemption conversions. For the verified V3 implementation, healthy redemption fees are compared with the pair settings in effect at the event. Standalone conversions are risk-triggered. Ambiguous conversions, including older implementations and redemption paths with indistinguishable fees, are reported as unclassified rather than counted as liquidations.
- Historical TVL
- Daily TVL from DeFiLlama’s Anvil adapter, based on vault token balances. Its accounting includes balances excluded from our user-collateral headline, so the chart and headline can differ. TVL changes include token-price movements.
- Historical LOC activity
- Active counts and remaining credit are reconstructed from creation, extension, conversion, cancellation, and redemption events. Historical credit is valued at current prices, not historical USD prices. Chart changes compare the first and last displayed observations.
Explorer conventions
Active and expired records show remaining credit; redeemed and canceled records show their original credited amount. USD values use current prices. An expired LOC can retain a balance in storage but is excluded from active credit. Address links open the Ethereum explorer; LOC IDs open their creation transactions.
The vault view reports accounts with active reservations for each asset, not all historical depositors. Values are rounded for display; the snapshot API retains full precision and source timestamps.
Anvil Token metrics
The token page tracks ANVL v2 at 0xAEEAa594e7dc112D67b8547fe9767a02c15B5597. Total supply is read at a finalized Ethereum block. CoinGecko provides aggregate USD price, trading volume, market capitalization, fully diluted valuation, circulating-supply estimates, and daily price history. Market cap represents circulating supply; fully diluted value represents the provider’s total-supply valuation. Neither is protocol TVL.
Blockscout reports holder addresses, which may include contracts and exchanges and do not equal individual people. DEX Screener liquidity sums both sides of distinct, priced Ethereum pools containing ANVL v2. It excludes centralized exchanges and any pools missing from that feed. Daily chart changes compare the first and last observations in the selected window.
The headline price and chart share one CoinGecko aggregate series, delivered through DeFiLlama’s explicit coingecko:anvil feed. The latest quote is combined with its daily history; both displays use the same final observation and timestamp. Direct CoinGecko history is the fallback. The ~24h change compares the closest daily observation within one hour of the 24-hour mark, and is unavailable if that point is missing. Selecting an older chart point shows “Historical.” DEX Screener supplies liquidity only. Market cap, valuation, volume, and circulating supply keep separately dated CoinGecko estimates.
Token distribution groups the 10 largest addresses, ranks 11–50, and the remaining supply using Blockscout’s indexed holder balances and total supply. The remaining share is the indexed total minus the first 50 balances; it does not require fetching every holder. Addresses are ranked by balance, with contract accounts included. Percentages use total supply, not circulating supply. The provider’s check time is shown because indexed balances may lag Ethereum. We do not infer team, foundation, or community ownership from addresses, and current holdings are distinct from the original token distribution.
Token sources refresh independently of protocol metrics, every five minutes. Market observations, finalized supply, and the latest price observation older than one hour are marked as last available. Holder, distribution, and liquidity timestamps show when the provider was checked; their indexers can lag Ethereum. Failed refreshes retain the previous observation with its original timestamp. A real, verified snapshot is included for fresh deployments, so a provider outage does not leave the page empty. Retained readings are marked “Last available,” not live. Missing fields remain unavailable.
